Annie, did you tell us names? I can't remember. The other night I was like "I don't know what we're gonna name this one. Just "Four"?" and dh said "We should let the kids name it." |

We have changed our minds several times on names this! Currently the names are Kate Elizabeth or Carter James. I love the name Emma but it's so popular and I can't get DH on board with it anyway... I dreamed last night that it's a girl though! And had red hair and freckles
I am going to be induced on Monday if it doesnt come out this weekend!
Will you find out the gender again this time? That will make naming it a bit easier. I love baby naming, it's fun! Not sure about letting the kids contribute though.. Jack suggested naming this one "Couch" and that was the best he could come up with. Hopefully your kids are a bit more traditional with names! |

LOL!! My best friend's 5month old son is named Carter and Ethan is in love with him. He routinely reminds me that he wants a new baby and he wants it to be a girl. And he wants her name to be Carter. That is an improvement over his first name choice, which was "Firetruck".
They are so funny! |

Well, you'd best get to filling that request then, eh?
Jack has started regressing, I am nervous about when the baby gets here. He is calling me Mama, wanting to be held, acting like he cant do anything for himself! He is 4.5!! If Molly pulls this shit too I am really in for it. |

We liked Max for Joshua but it was extremely popular here then. Not that Joshua is uncommon, but it wasn't so much the trend of the moment like Max was, KWIM? It is a great name, though.
I don't know what kind of names we will think of for this one. I've kind of been kicking around Calvin's would-be girl name, which was Georgia Simone. But I don't know, it seems weird to recycle a name kind of. I really loved Veronica when I was pg with both Joshua and Somerset, but dh doesn't like it and now I'm not sure if I still love it as much. I've kind of been thinking about Sophia or something like that. I got really excited about the idea of Carolina for a couple of days, but if we move to NC like we talk about, it might seem silly. But I like how it's unusual but not made-up sounding, and very feminine. I tend to think of it in a French accent, though, which is of course not how anyone would say it, lol.
For boy names, I'm at a total loss. I got nuthin. Somerset is kind of a hard act to follow, name-wise, because we love her name so much. |

OOh, I love the name Georgia!! It doesnt sound good with our last names though so it was out. Carolina is very pretty too. Are you pronouncing it Caroline-a or Caroleena?
I think recycling is ok, Molly would have been Carter if she had been a boy. It's a good sign if you still like the name years later! |

| Oh, I just love "Sophia" or "Sophie" -- those are beautiful, yet homey at the same time. I've always loved that name. |

I so love the name Sophie. If I ever have a girl (which I won't) her name would be Sophie Charlotte. I first heard the name when we went to the Charlottenburg palace near Berlin. The first queen of Prussia was names Sophie-Charlotte and her monogram was everwhere. Dh said if we had a girl it should be Sophie Catherine, because Catherine is my first name and it was my grandmother's name. I can't get away from Sophie Charlotte though. |

I like Sophie too, but my sister's dog is named Sophie. SO it would probably be Sophia. I mentioned to dh that I was thinking about Georgia again, and he said he was also thinking maybe Georgia Katherine. His sisters are Elizabeth and Katherine, and Somerset's first name is Elizabeth. He also had a great g'ma named Catherine that we all called Mimi K who was a wonderful woman and passed away about a year after we got married. SO that might be a good name. There's also a tradition of sisters named Elizabeth and Katherine on his Dad's side of the family.
But boy names? I swear I can't think of a single thing. How is that possible? Dh said "yeah, we've shown we've got nothing on boy names." We both feel like we picked Joshua because we just couldn't think of anything, lol. Poor boy! |
