| I'm going to bookmark the webpage and come back to look at it when I have some more time. I am in the market for something for the new baby too. I already have my hands full constantly with my four year old, so if I could figure out how to use the thing, it should help me out a lot! |

Well, I was going to say the site rocks until I found out Prescott...
Oh, wait, the site rocks!!
Seriously, it's pretty darn cool. I'd like something like that when I set up my children's clothing store on-line.
Good luck to both of you with your business ventures. |

Thanks! Annie, don't forget to pm me your addie. Kenna, I can show you or you can swing by Mothersville--they have my slings plus several other brands and types. (Are you seeing me scrapping on the other board? Lol, I don't think I'm making a good impression on Emily. ) I have to stop acting so ugly. |

I think I will have to go by Mothersville and look at them. I looked at the site, and honestly, I am so confused. I was as mainstream as they come with my first child, and I think I'm being set adrift into uncharted territory right now. I'm clueless. By the way, I know one of the "models" in your pics.
I don't think you were being ugly...just honest. Nothing wrong with a little honesty every once in a while! I have been watching that thread, though, because it amuses me. I too have a low tolerance for stupidity. |

Kenna, the main component is a pouch. Have you seen a New Native sling before? It's like that, but made of a stretchy knit. It's basically like a girl scout sash, but instead of being just one flat layer, it's a wider loop that is folded in half lengthwise. The phot instrux for how to put on the pouch show how that works. So the baby goes into the fold, and the one side of the fabric is between you and the baby, and the other side comes up around the outside of the baby. Kind of like if you had on a t-shirt and you pulled the bottom edge up to make a little pouch to carry something, (but it's from shoulder-to-hip instead of straight across, of course.) Then, you can choose to use two of these crossed so you have support on both shoulders, or you can add the Support instead of a second pouch. It will make more sense when you see it.
Those couple of posters over there are cracking me up. I feel like saying "Der! Stop acting so slow and learn how to back up your point!" |
