I was blown away by #9 on the list...
9. Store sheet sets in the same room as the bed, between the mattress and box spring or tucked into an underbed box.
How easy and brilliant! I can't wait to do this. There have been so many times that we waste so much time rummaging around in the linen closet forever trying to find a crib sheet. Ugh!
------
Also doing #4...
4. Move all your CDs to a storage wallet. Say bye-bye to jewel boxes and CD stands!
This will be a significant help for dh's side of the closet in the spare room. Now I just need to sniff out some killer bargains on huge cd binders.
------
Also an "a-ha!" moment happened for me with this one:
46. File copies of important documents (birth certificates, car title, passports, proof of immunizations, insurance information, etc.) in a three-ring binder with zippered plastic pockets. If disaster strikes, you can grab it and go.
A binder! With zippered pockets!! How genious!!!!
I have all this stuff in a fire proof lock box, but it's all in folders and difficult to flip through without making a mess. I LOVE the zippered pocket idea! Great for social security and insurance cards!
-------
And I thought this one was cute:
69. Pens with fuzzy animal heads are easier to find in the car.
Also, no matter how many pens I toss in the console, there are never any there when I need one because dh picks them up and sticks them in his pockets for work. I bet the fuzzy animal head variety would stay put in the car.
....so am I the only one doing the spring cleaning in January? lol |

OK, now this one I need to do. Reducing several shelves worth of CDs down to a couple binders sounds good. |

| Melissa, I love that link! I so want to be completely organized. I just need to send my children away someplace for a few days so I can get something DONE towards that goal. I did put all their books into 3 baskets on the shelf instead of trying to stand them all up, that was a good tip. Now it looks much neater and more organized than it did with the books falling all over eachother. |

I was pleased with my bad ass self. I am already doing a lot of these. I did the CD thing a while ago - but I can't bear to part with the jewel cases. They are in the storage cubby hole in the basement.
I am organizing all my fabric right now. Grouping by color and theme. I need to get more rubbermaid containers (shoebox size). I filled 4 of them tonight - I think I need another 10, adn I'm not joking. this doesn' include my bulky fabrics..this is just the cotton fabric for my quilting/clothes! yikes. I need to take a month off and just sew. |
