Regarding the IQ points:

Smarter moms have smarter babies. The higher IQs don't come from the milk itself. There have been only one or two studies about preemies who were tube-fed breastmilk, and it didn't control for other factors, such as mothers' IQs . There has been a surge of info regarding the fact the "increase in IQ points" from breastfeeding is completely bogus.

I'm a total breastfeeding nazi, but I think the information given to mothers should be accurate. You did your best, and you shouldn't feel guily at all. I personally have a problem with women who are too selfish to even try, but you weren't one of them.

I'm glad you wrote this. I had some of the same issues with breastfeeding for different reasons and felt so incredibly guilty for so long. I hated when my son was younger and everytime I'd read something or talk to someone else about him they'd just assume I was breastfeeding.
