I'm nominating this "mommy wars revisited week" because this issue has been all over the blogosphere and it just can't go away. I talked about it over at my blog and I think it's just because people are jealous and not comfortable enough with themselves and their choices so they have to go attack others. Sad, but until we look inside ourselves and do what's best for us, as we said, there's always going to be those nay sayers. Good luck with the pregnancy! We are apparently on the same timeline :)

Self Made Mom, I'm heading over to read your words.

This topic is starting to bug me. Yesterday at the grocery store I saw an old friend of my mother's, who didn't know I was expecting. She asked how far along I was and I told her. Her response? "And you're STILL working?"

I'm chalking it up to her generation's view on motherhood. Otherwise I'll really go crazy.

Thanks, mom101. :)

Working moms vs. stay at home moms and breastfeeding vs. formula are 2 topics of controversy that will never die. There will always be people on either side that are extremely opinionated and feel it's their duty to spread their rehtoric around. Do what is best for you and your family and try not to let other people's views make you feel guilty. She is not you, she is not a part of your family. Surround yourself with real friends who love and support you. If I stayed at home full time I think I would go insane! I need that time to use the other part of my brain, have adult interaction, maintain my career. I actually makes ME a BETTER mom.
