Oh my. I guess that's what I have to look forward to? It sounds like I'm going to have take stock in Pepto myself. Ugh!!

I'm trying to raise my girls to remember that the only one responsible for their happiness is THEM. Disney doesn't help. But at the same time, we all fell for that romantic dream back in the day and admit it, you don't regret it! You should never regret something that once made you smile.

I know I will try to protect my little ones from heartbreak but heartbreak, like many other pains, teach us a little more about ourselves. Without it, life would be boring, right?

It will be tough but we have to trust that if things don't work out, they will be able to look to us to see that we're ok and survived something that we didn't think we could. It even made us stronger.

Great article!!

argh, kids really have a way of making you face stuff don't they? *hugs* I think all you can do is be honest and 'stick to the facts', like you said. I hope they go easy on you in the coming years ;) heh

PS- For what it's worth, I don't know how single mom's do it. You are My Hero, seriously.

Nice job, Susan. Don't ya love when your "baby" uses the word "hot"? Send some Pepto my way!

I've often considered figuring out how to use that V-chip to block friggin' Disney. Pure evil!

Hey, at least you and your daughter are communicating! Some parents don't even do that. As a single dad, I've talked plenty with my kids on marriage, divorce, relationships. It's never easy. But sticking to the facts is a fine approach. Eating ice cream with them, priceless.
