Politics along the racial divide.

I think some of the "backlash" (or merely criticism) of Powell and Rice comes from the fact that they're of the school that believes "well if I did it, anyone can, so don't ask for my help." This doesn't play so well with the black community--or even the elite black community which is traditionally pretty big in the giving back department.

What I think is interesting is that while Obama is equally white and black, we will only ever see him as black. That doesn't get discussed nearly enough.
