Red, Green and Yellowing

Pretty (reused) paper, pretty (reused) ribbons of blue...

By Christina Deanne

Thanks for sharing the story. As I read it, I could see my father's pocket knife. I won't tell you how many plastic grocery bags I have. Let's just say...a lot. Some family traditions are hard to break.

"They were a match made in Salvation Army Thrift Store Heaven." is a wonderful line; it speaks volumes in a few scant words. Your overall style has a familiar ring, an everyday sort of beauty that is captivating beyond any attempt to define it... Thanx for sharing!

With a deep recession looming, this article is EXCELLENT. It is a timely reminder that we have all grown very wasteful. A vegetable garden would help contribute to feeding the family in the coming time of need.

Recycling is also environmentally friendly.
