Oh, I loved this! Man, if only more people could realize that sometimes kids are just doing this for exactly the reason it looks like they're doing them. Kids don't have a hidden agenda. Seriously, most adults don't have a hidden agenda - it's too complicated. It's easier to get pissed off, do something mean because of that, and have that be the end of it. Or whatever. My brother used to use the cat as a machine gun, and I don't blame my mother for it. I know that he just saw that holding the cat a certain way made the cat resemble a machine gun, so he used it. End of story. Anyway, great article!!

Loved this article. Adults become older and start to believe that children have secret agenda's but they don't for the most part. As they mature sure they have an agenda but not younger ones. children are children and they need to be taught things that at times will never be followed and it won't be our fault as a parent.

Remember the first episode of "Roseanne" where she got called to Darlene's school because Darlene was barking in class? Roseanne asked "Did you tell her to stop?" "Yes." "Did she stop?" "Yes." Astonishment. "WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?" The smug young bitch snippily asked if she spent a lot of extra time with Darlene, and Roseanne told her, "I have three kids and a job, so I don't have extra time. I think the problem is that there IS no problem." The woman angrily said, "Your daughter BARKS." Roseanne snapped back, "Our whole FAMILY barks!"
And that was the end of that. Hehe.
Kids are kids. Teachers are often self-important young pricks. Fuggedabout it.

I agree...I think teachers need to get off their high horse!
MOMINATRIX RADIO This live call in show takes a frank look at sexuality from a parent perspective.
"Try as hard as we may for perfection, the net result of our labors is an amazing variety of imperfectness. We are surprised at our own versatility in being able to fail in so many different ways." -- Samuel McChord Crothers
