Enjoyed your article and can definitely relate to the unconventional pets ones child can't do without. My youngest decided we should get an Orca Whale and let it live in the bath tub. Then it was a snake, which sounds innocent enough except that I am morbidly creeped out by them. So we have to Golden Retrievers and a lot of poop scooping.
